Hot dip galvanization is a way of coating iron, steel or aluminium with a thin coating of zinc which makes the metals much more resistant to wear and the effects of adverse weather. The metals are coated by being immersed in a bath of molten zinc at a temperature of around 460c. Once coated in the zinc these metals are extremely corrosion resistant making them ideal for use in the building industry, where rust resistance is an extremely attractive attribute.
