Galvanizers

Today Armco operates 2 galvanizing kettles ranging from 5.2m to 13.2m for large structural galvanizing. The plants are located in Isando and Randfontein.

Our plants are certified with the SANS 121 / ISO 1461 Hot Dip Galvanizing Mark Scheme and are also listed under the BSI ISO 9001: 2015 quality management system.

• Armco Galvanizers Isando has been operating since 1989. Geared up to accommodate heavy structural steel to 13m in length. Isando has an average output of 2000 tons per month. With an improved lay down area and increased loading capacity. We strive to give “A” class service to all our customers big or small. Isando‘s loading bay uses only Poly Urethane coated slings to load completed material to minimize handling damage.
• Armco Galvanizers Randfontein is based in the Western part of Johannesburg. Randfontein has an average output of 800 tons per month and is geared up to handle light to medium structural steel to 6m in length. By providing a quick turnaround, with no substitute on quality Armco Randfontein can provide the service you want and need.

Added Value Services

Membership of the Hot Dip Galvanizing Association of South Africa as well as the South African Steel Institute of Construction provides customers with added peace of mind. Armco Galvanizers is actively involved with both these associations.

The Galvanizing Department of Armco consists of a Transport fleet including eight ton trucks as well as horse and trailers, for the transportation of goods to and from the Galvanizer.
